What do you think of this regulation that is enforced in various provinces?

I think its a good idea, way easier to take the hook out with out ripping its mouth or throat up, way easier on the fish if you are planning on releasing it. Also easier to take out of ones hand or finger if you have that experience...OUCH!!

Yeah, buried a size 2 streamer in my finger right to the bone the other day. I'll never be more thankfull for barbless as I was then. Came out (with still a bit of effort) and I was back fishing in about hal an hour (after the bleeding had stopped! ) Brian

Hi All. I am very new to fishing as I started this sport last july at this time. I fish the Assinaboine near Brandon and some of the closer lakes from shore. Loving it!! I started with barbless hooks, so I guess I am used to them. I do like the fact that they are easier to remove, especially since this is the though part for me. I am also experimenting with removing on of the 3 hooks on my trebles and I find that I can set the hook just as well if not better. Have had very few deep hooked fish this way and it is so much easier on me and my fish to remove them Good Luck Mike
