Anyone ventured there this Summer yet? If so how was it? I heard Line Lake froze completly this past winter and killed off all the fish, any truth to that story?

Hey king I have not heard a thing here in the store about line lake freezing out, I am almost positive it never, if shiladay and beautifull are still good then I would say line lake is as well. The muskies are getting up there in size now and apparently the walleye have been biting good in the past couple years. If you want to know for sure phone the boys over at wellman lake lodge they will know.

Hey, Rockbottom. The boys and I have our annual fishing trip planned for August 20th weekend. I was just wondering what the word is on the Ducks. What and Where the best bite is, and just how much water there is up there. Our plan is to quad into Little Laurie, or Little Island, but I have heard rumors that the majority of the trails are water logged past the point of being able to pull a boat in. Our main concern is being able to catch alot of fish, jacks, walleye, perch, or anything really. Any info would be greatly appreciated....thanx, Dave.

Hey Dave, Rod here. The ducks are very wet I heard it is tuff to get into line lake and all the trails are water, and the fact that it has been raining here for the last 4 days isnt helping. If you want trout and splake Gull has been really good and for perch and pike you can try Singush, and the walleye have been biting on beautifull. they were gonna do a walleye transfer from beautifull to childs but they got rained out so the walleye numbers should still be good. All these lakes are vehicle accessible and fairly close to each other.
If you have any more questions either post them here or on my site or give me a call at (204)-638-9293

That is not good news for us. How big are the 'eyes on Beautiful? Don't suppose you know how to get into East Angling Lake from North of Roblin do you? I used to deliver Schwan's in that area, and I know that there is a logging road that goes into East Angling, but I cannot remember how to get to it. That is another option we are thinking about, because of all the water that is reported to be in the Ducks this year.
Thanx for the fishing info you did supply. I will let you know how we make out.

The walleye are all small on beautifull big one being 15 inches I do know how to get to east angling lakes but is hard to explain best way is to buy landowners map. Go east of roblin untill you hit hwy 591 and go north untill it turns into hwy 584 and go all the way north to the end of 584 where it turns west , and you turn east one and half miles and you will see the logging road maybe that will help. Good luck with the trip. ps. cant go wrong with lake of the prairies catching a ton of walleye all sizes up to 30 inches (No bull shat).

Thanx Rod. That sounds about right. I used to deliver Schwans in the winter of 98-99. I remember that there was a stop that was really close to the road in, and they were Charlais farmers, however I could not remember how to get to that place again. It sounds like that is going to be the place we head to. Thanx again.

i caught a 44 1/4 inch Northen Pike Caught on Tuesday August 24. I just got back. Fishing was slow however, lots of Jake out of Wellman. Glad prduced nothing. Line was completely rained in so no chance of going. But yeah 44 1/4 on a black "gulp" single tail with a tiny black jig head with yellow eyes. the jig was almost as big as this monsters eye hahaha.
