I was wondering about the same thing in Saskatoon. Blackstrap seems to be the closest lake and it's a 25 minute drive. I was wondering if there are other lakes that are close that I'm unaware of.

Was at Pasqua on Saturday, fishing off of the rocks from shore. Caught 4 walleye and one pike. The biggest Walleye was 4.7 pounds... good eating. Using white jigs and black and silver walleydiver crank. Try again this week to see if there is anything.

The hottest spot you will find is Lake of The Praries, It is along the manitoba, sask border and you can use both licenses. It is prob little less then 2 hours from regina but worth every bit of the drive, I fish tournaments there and all summer as well boating up to ond over 80 walleye per day anywhere from 12 -31 inches with alot of them being in the 23 - 25 inch range for more info go to www.rockbottomfishinghole.com and be sure to contact me yours in fishing; Rod Carberry
